Fitness Classes at Source Health and Fitness:
Spinning - A 45 minute aerobic cycle class, incorporating a sequence of jogging, sprinting, climbing, etc. Guaranteed to get your heart rate up! You take this class at your own level, thus enabling you to work your way from beginners level right through to advanced level. Places are limited, so booking is necessary.
ABS Class - This is a fifteen minute intensive class to help you tone up
your abdominal "stomach" muscles. These classes are free
and do not need to be booked.
Circuits - Hi-intensity, multi station class. Consisting of both aerobic
and weight stations. This is an intermediate to advanced
class. Beginners are advised to start with the Thursday class
and work their way up.
Aerob-tone - This class compromises of both aerobic and toning
techniques with emphasis on good posture, breathing
and toning - a great class to burn the calories.
Karate Class - We run a Karate club here in the centre every Monday and Thursday night between 8.00 - 9.30pm. Our instructor Paul Allen is a 6th Dan black belt and has been instructing Karate with us here for the last number of years. Karate is an excellent way of learning self defence, stamina and increasing self confidence and promoting mental well being. Our Karate club caters for those at any level of the discipline, men and women. Even if you are a complete beginner and have never done Karate before you could be well on your way to your first belt within the first few months.
You do not need to be a member of Source Health & Fitness to join the Karate club. So, if you are over 16 and are looking for a personal challenge, come along and see for yourself.

Intensive Toning - Intensive toning exercises for the bums, tums and thighs. An aerobic warm-up stretching sessions and weights routine to tone up the body.
Aqua Aerobics - This is a 45 minute class for all levels of fitness.
This is a non impact class based in the pool. This class is suitable for non swimmers
Aero-Circuit - A multi-station workout with emphasis on fat burning and muscular toning.
Teen-age Gym - This is aimed at 12-16year olds. It is a supervised introduction to the gym and our junior members get a realy good cardio-vascular workout as well as some great core stability training
Yoga - This is a 10 week course of Hatha Yoga, run by Catherine Cogan. This class combines of relaxation and breathing exercises to aid a stress free lifestyle. Places are limited so early booking is essential
Fitness Test - Every member that joins with Source Health and Fitness will receive a free fitness test from one of our highly qualified instructors. This test includes:
- Testing of respiratory, blood pressure, body fat, flexibility and heart rate.
- Also included is a fitness programme for 6 weeks. You must use the gym two to three times per week to see the best results. The instructors will monitor your progress over the weeks. They are always available for any questions you may have or any problems you are encountering.
