    Fitness Classes at Kingsley Health Club

    We offer a wide range of classes to suit all levels of ability and interest. All our classes are mixed and with experienced Instructors, you are guaranteed a great workout in a safe and friendly manner. Meet other class goers and enjoy the banter.

    Spin Xpress - Spin Xpress is one of the most popular classes that we offer! These classes are great fun and are suitable for all levels of ability. Spin Xpress is an aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary bicycle. As you pedal, motivating music plays and our instructor talks you through a visualization of an outdoor cycling workout.
    During the class you vary your pace -- sometimes pedaling as fast as you can, other times cranking up the tension and pedaling slowly from a standing position. Spinning burns serious calories and offers an awesome aerobic workout that makes your heart pump fast. It also tones your legs and outer thigh muscles.

    Pilates - Pilates (pronounced Pi-lah-tees) is a system of body conditioning designed to strengthen and lengthen the body's muscles with emphasis on reducing incidence of back pain and injury. Pilates has long been associated with optimum fitness as well as injury rehabilitation and prevention, flexibility and increased physical performance. It tones and strengthens the muscles without impacting the joints. It improves posture and strengthens the parts of the body that age attacks, including the stomach muscles, inner thighs and upper arms.

    Aqua - This is a low impact exercise class that takes places while standing in the swimming pool. In addition to the standard benefits of any exercise, the use of water in water aerobics supports the body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury. The reduction of gravity by flotation places less stress on the joints when stretching, and can allow a greater range of motion. The resistance of the water helps to tone the muscles while performing the various exercises. This class is performed to music.

    Abs ‘n Flex - This class is designed to target two areas – the abdominals and whole body flexibility. It consists of a series of exercises to strengthen and tone the core muscles, abdominals and lower back. Following this intense workout, we go through a series of stretches to target all the muscles of the body to ensure correct flexibility and to reduce the risk of injury. An ideal class for anyone involved in any sports or just needing to tone the and strengthen the core.

    Kinesis - With the only Kinesis Studio in Munster, we are ideally equipped to provide a range of functional exercises, designed to replicate many of the day to day movements needed to live our lives or take part in a sport or recreational activity. The exercises and movements are designed to promote muscle balance and co-ordination. We can design an infinite variety of exercises and movements, ensuring strength, stability and flexibility.

    Yoga - This is run as a course with the Indian Doctor from the Yauvana Spa. Normally run as an eight week course consisting of one hour a week. Please contact the Spa for details of prices and starting dates.

    Bodyworx - This is an endurance type class designed to tone and sculpt all areas of the body. It is excellent for increasing lean body mass, improving muscle tone, and definition without causing bulking. Using a combination of the most up to date advances in group exercise classes and various equipment including barbells and steps, this class ensures an all over body workout and helps to sculpt the body.
